Prophets in Politics

The peace and unity of churches and Christian homes are violently threatened every election season. We find ourselves distant from friends and family we hold dear because of differences in political views and loyalties. These perennial fractures between the church and family many times lead to deep wounds that cause severe damage to long standing relationships.

The Prophets in Politics seminar is a 90-minute presentation, with Q&A, that seeks to help equip Christians with a Gospel based understanding of politics and civic engagement. It starts with a biblical affirmation of the wisdom and virtue of Christian engagement in politics and civic affairs. It then guides the Christian through scripture, to answer the question of who God’s vote and loyalty would align with, if he lived in the flesh today. Finally, we draw a distinction between a worldly and divisive understanding of political and biblical approach that nurtures unity.

The goal of the Prophets in Politics seminar is not to change one’s politic loyalty or view. Instead, it seeks to equip the Christian to hold their view in harmony with the Gospel and unity with their siblings in Christ.
